Know before you arrive: Entry process explained
TIPS 2025 Entry Instructions
We are grateful for the overwhelming number of people who are excited to come to TIPS again this year. However, to avoid chaos and congestion at the door, we have implemented a very specific process that we ask everybody to follow. This only applies to people who want to enter the venue within the first hours of opening, each day.
If you want to avoid the opening rush, we suggest you arrive at least two hours after opening, when you will be able to walk right up to the entrance of the show.
For those who want to enter the event at the earliest opportunity printed on your ticket, please read the following instructions carefully.
Single Day Ticket holders
① Registration
Please arrive at the 4th floor of the Hamamatsuchokan building TIPS reception area during the “Registration” time indicated on your ticket.
For instance, if your ticket displays the following:
11月1日(土)入場券Aグループ(Registration 受付12:00～12:40 Entry入場13:00～）
Please arrive at the 4th floor registration area between 12:00pm and 12:40 pm.
You will not be allowed to line up in front of the registration desk before your registration time. If you do, we will ask you to step away and wait for your turn to be called.
Our staff will make an announcement when the registration is open for your group. We ask for your cooperation in following their instructions for forming an orderly line in front of the registration desk.
At the registration desk, your ticket QR code will be scanned and you will be given a wristband that we will ask you to apply on your wrist for the entire duration of the show. To expedite this process, please make sure to have your ticket QR code readily accessible, either on your phone or as a printout. A receipt of your purchase is NOT an entry ticket. You must have a valid QR code for entry.
② Lining up in the waiting line
Once you apply your wristband, our staff will guide you to your proper place in the waiting line.
You will line up in the waiting line based on the serial number printed under the QR code of your ticket (e.g. #2046). There will be 16 lines of 25 people each, each with a pole sign indicating the ticket number range for that line (e.g. line for 2025~2049).
Our staff will guide you to your proper line. Once you arrive at your line they will ask you to line up in order of arrival (not by the number printed on your ticket).
Please make sure you have your ticket readily available so our staff can confirm you are in the right line.
③ Entry
Once it is time for your line’s entry, we will ask you to decide if you want to join a 4th floor entry line or a 5th floor entry line. Please decide which floor you want to visit first in advance by checking the vendor layout on our website. This is strictly to decide which floor you want to visit first. Once you enter the venue, you will have full access to both floors.
When it is time for entry, please stay in your line and follow our staff who will guide you to the proper entrance. You are required to stay in your line as our staff leads you to the entrance. You may only leave your line once you pass the entrance door.
④ If you arrive late to your registration time
If you do not arrive in time for your assigned registration time, we will ask you to line up in a special line for late arrivals. Our staff will do their best to let you in at their earliest opportunity, but only after the registered ticket holders for that registration time have finished entering. Please follow the instructions from our staff for an orderly entry.
If you arrive after the controlled entry has finished, you may step right up to the 4th floor entrance and have your ticket QR code scanned for entry.
3 Day Pass holders
Please understand that the 3 day pass is NOT a priority entry pass. It is a pass that allows you to leisurely visit the show over a three day period. When it comes to entry, single day ticket holders will be guided into the show BEFORE the 3 day pass holders during any specific entry time. To use a specific example, if you complete your registration anytime before 12:40, you will be allowed to enter the show after the single day ticket holders for the 12:00~12:40 slot finish entering, but before the single day ticket holders for the 12:30~13:10 slot are allowed to enter.
① Registration
As a 3 day pass holder, you are allowed to line up at the registration desk at any time. Upon having your ticket QR code scanned, you will be given a neck-strap to wear throughout your 3 day visit. Please do not misplace this neck-strap.
② Lining up in the waiting line
Upon receiving your neck-strap, our staff will guide you to a specific line for the 3 day pass holders. Please follow the instructions from our staff to line up in an orderly fashion and wait your turn for entry until instructed.
!! We ask you to follow this same process for each day of your attendance. Even if you have completed your registration on a previous day, please ask our staff to guide you to the 3 day pass line before each day’s entry.
③ Entry
This process is identical to the single day ticket holders. Once it is time for your line’s entry, we will ask you to decide if you want to join a 4th floor entry line or a 5th floor entry line. Please decide which floor you want to visit first in advance by checking the vendor layout on our website. This is strictly to decide which floor you want to visit first. Once you enter the venue, you will have full access to both floors.
